Pride was a Riot candle
Though historians note that the preferred term is "the Stonewall Uprising", we like to (not so gently) remind our patrons that Pride is inherently based in the defiance of silence. Marsha P. Johnson has been erased from the Stonewall memorial, and deserves her previous notoriety, as such, she is featured (*though she never threw a brick*) holding the metaphorical brick of the uprising. Her flower crown is featured cradling her hand, as Marsha was known as much for her strength and advocacy as well as her gentle nature and her desire to just live her life. As a member of the LGBTQ community, our resident artist feels passionately about dismantling the erasure of LGBTQ history.
This candle features a beautiful rainbow pour, and bright, floral, sweet scents.
